  (Appointment was on 4/22/17) I needed an tooth extracted & after reading the reviews I decided to go to DentFirst Lithonia. The receptionist I spoke with was very pleasant & helpful. The dental assistant that did my x-rays made me comfortable as I am extremely afraid of the Dentist. Because of that I was prescribed 2 Valiums to take 1 hour before my appt. The Valiums did absolutely nothing for me. I was taken back to a room the doctor came in & said a few words then left & he returned with the needles to numb me. No numbing gel was applied before the injections. No shaking the cheek to minimize the injection pain. Just 3 really hard painful sticks. Before I could say I think I should be numbed some more the dentist was digging in my gums pulling out my tooth. I was so tense & groaning in pain. Then it was over. I didn't see his face again. The day I had my X-ray I was given an exact price ($131) I would pay the day of the extraction. Instead they said I owed ($175). I end up paying $140. Communication between staff seems to be lacking. I wish I could say I would go here again if I needed another extraction but I wouldn't. I'd have to go to a dentist were everyone is on the same accord were the patient is accommodated however they need to be.

  The Denist and staff is very friendly and professional every time I visit. But for the pass couple of days. I’ve been calling this location and keeping being placed on hold for over ten minutes until I would hang up, this happened for a couple of hours throughout the days. Still no response. I’m not sure what’s going on and it seems to be the same person that keeps placing me on hold very unprofessional.
